Notes and Reports from Canceled HOA Annual Meeting - May 2020
Comments for Bob Hortsman - HOA President
Hello Everyone,
On behalf of the HOA board I am announcing a cancellation of this year’s annual meeting usually held in early May. We also canceled our March 26 meeting. With the Governor’s stay at home order and all of the other precautions in regard to COVID-19, meetings are out the question.
To keep you updated we are enclosing all the reports that are usually handed out at the annual meeting. Treasury, architecture/landscape and snow/lawn mowing reports are included with this email. Most everything with our neighborhood has gone smoothly since our last annual meeting. Unfortunately we had two or three troublesome snow events late fall and early in the year. Snow, then ice, then more snow leads to a very difficult time for the snow removal guys. Unfortunately all of the snow events can’t be perfect.
We want to announce 3 new residents since our last meeting. Steve and Nan Powers (11228), Marty and Connie Layer (11210) and Carol Castagna (11200). Please welcome them if you get the chance.
We have always ended our annual meeting with a few reminders. The speed limit on our street is 25mph. I’m going to mention to some of you that your foot is to the floor by the short time you reach the third unit from Wilhelm where I live! Many of us have dogs and some of you have grandchildren that could possibly end up in the street right about the time a car goes by. Please mention to your adult children and visitors to be mindful of the speed limit. I am asking everyone to slow down before the unthinkable happens!
In May of 2021 three of us on the board will be at the end of our board terms. Please start to think about serving for a term. We need to continue to have a full board…the consequence of not having a board is property management. I don’t want that and I’m sure you all don’t either.
I hope you have not held questions or concerns just for the annual meeting. We are available by phone or email most all of the time. Lastly, we want to thank Bob Polonus for his great work maintaining our website.
Sincerely,
Bob Horstman

Snow Removal / Lawn Mowing Annual Report - Kathy Burt
Barr Report---snow removal/lawn mowing
We have received the summer 2020 snow removal contract for lawn mowing..
There was no increase in price which is very good news.
Prices for hand mowing back yards has remained at $25.00. If you wish to have your back yard mowed you need to call barr @673-8668 and ask for Mandy or Amanda if you wish to sign up.
You will be invoiced separately as association does not take care of this.
Also We wish to remind you (at Barrs request) please do not run Irrigation on Thurs. as that is our regular day for lawn mowing.
In regard to snow removal for next winter Barr will still offer Hand snow blowing on driveways for an additional charge of $30 on days that they are doing regular snow removal (2 inch or more). They will also come out individually to do your drive on days under 2 inch for $50. Again you will have to call Barr to set up and you will be invoiced individually.
Sincerely,
Kathy Burt
